Making buildings/homes from wood is an important way to build and one we are seeing more of. Timber frames have many advantages including being environmentally sound, ease of building off site in a controlled environment and once on site allows the roof to go on quickly and efficiently enabling work to continue in the dry.
Wood has its own beauty and timber frames enhance this element, what is essentially the structure becomes an important visual component. Borrowing from the tried and tested designs of the past whilst incorporating new technology enables us to make buildings that work for us in the present day.
